The
San Diego and Arizona Eastern Railway
Part 1 of the Ghost
Rails Series for MSTS
The SDAE is a short-line American railroad originally founded in 1906
by entrepreneur John D Spreckels (As in Spreckels Sugar.) It's nickname
is "The Impossible Railroad" because many of the engineers of its day
considered it impossible to build. For a complete History, see the Wikipedia
entry for the San Diego and Arizona Railway.
My version of the SD&AE for MSTS extends the entire 148 Mile (238
km) Route from San Diego to El Centro. (Although the scenery is a bit
sparse in Northern San Diego) The Geography for this Scenery was
created using real-world Digital Elevation Maps provided by the
US Geological Survey.

Installation Instructions:
- Download **ALL** of the zip archives above and
place them in your MSTS main directory.
- UN-ZIP the archives using PKZIP, WINZIP or
FILZIP (or whatever your favorite ZIP archive program is.) Be sure the
USE DIRECTORIES option is checked (so that the files will go into the
correct directories)
- Run the script INSTALLME.BAT which will be in
the ROUTES/Ghost_SDAE directory. This will copy the necessary
"standard" textures and shapes into the SDAE folder from the other
routes.
