For
those who don't know, The Sims is a "People Simulator." (Technically it
is reffered to as a "stratigic life simulation computer game.")
It begins by creating a Sim ("Simulated Person") in which you assign a
head, body type and personality attributes. The personality is
determined by assigning points to basic attributes such as neatness,
active and playful.
Once the Sim (or a complete family) is created, they purchase one of
the vacant lots in the game neighborhood where you will help them build
a house and live their simulated life. You can either control their
actions, or let them alone to fend for themselves to see what will
happen. They interact with the world through the objects (furniture)
you place in the world.
One of the key elements of the game is the house you build for them.
