CART SERIES 2007
I have been taking photographs of the ubiquitous homeless peoples' carts in my neighborhood since 2004 and recently decided to draw and paint them. I find the watercolor and pencil drawings have a tenderness that the cold eye of the camera eschews. I don't want them to be "documents" but rather, homage's to the inventiveness and resilience of the people in my community.
